Priya Gill has acted in Hindi, Punjabi, and south Indian films.
The actress was born in a Jatt Sikh family in Punjab on 9 December 1977 to an Army man.
Priya was discovered by actress and producer Jaya Bachchan for Tere Mere Sapne (1996) where she was seen alongside Arshad Warsi and Chandrachur Singh. She then played a character named Aarti in Sirf Tum (1999) opposite Sanjay Kapoor. This film was a remake of the Tamil superhit film Kadhal Kottai. In Josh (2000) Priya was seen opposite superstar Shahrukh Khan. Priya was also seen as a waitress named Piya in Bade Dilwala (1999) opposite Suniel Shetty. The actress could not make a mark in Bollywood and therefore moved to the south Indian film industry.
In 1999 she appeared in a Malayalam film named Megham and also did a Telugu film named Rayalaseema Ramanna Chowdhary in 2000. Priya also did a Tamil film named Red opposite superstar Ajith. Later in 2003 she made her comeback in the multi-starrer LOC Kargil (2003).
She also appeared in the Punjabi film Jee Aayon Noo, which was pop singer Harbhajan Mann’s debut film.
